Although preventative care is our preferred method of veterinary treatment at Central City Animal Hospital, we do also provide surgical services where needed

Some procedures offered at Central City Animal Hospital include:

  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Dental surgery
  • Fracture and cruciate ligament rupture repairs
  • Femur head repairs
  • Abscess and wound repairs
  • Fractured nail repairs
  • Dew claw removals
  • Eye tacking
  • Singe, or double enucleation

To ensure the best treatment plan for you and your furry companions, we recommend that you book a consultation appointment with one of our veterinarians before proceeding with surgical intervention.

(Procedures requiring sedation and general anesthesia are performed from Monday to Friday. Drop off time for all procedures requiring anesthesia are between 8:30am – 9:30am. Pick up time is dependant on each procedures, and one of our staff members will be happy to give you an estimate at the time of your drop off. Usually, pick-up times range between 4:00pm – 7:00pm, as each pet is lovingly monitored to make sure they are happy and stable while coming out of anesthesia before they are ready to go home. )

Our dog dislocated her hip one morning, she was turned down to get urgent help in about 10 clinics around LMD. We had to find a surgeon to perform a surgery ASAP and Central City Animal Hospital was extremely well responsive. We were able to send in our xrays and med reports by email and within minutes were called back to be scheduled for a surgery. Dr. DHALIWAL met us at the hospital and made sure he answered all our questions and took his time to explain the process before and after the surgery. The prices were also quite reasonable! Overall a great experience with all the staff at the clinic. We are very thankful!

The Dr. who owned the place saw my dog Ciby the night after I accidentally gouged my dogs butt area after trying to groom him. He was super kind and understanding, and was very concerned about my dog's welfare. He stitched up the area very neatly, an outstanding job! My dog recovered and healed up the wound fast (within a week) because of his clean, professional work. Before finding this vet, I took my dog to Atlas Vet by Fraser and 41st Avenue, and they were so heartless and didn't even dress up my dog's open wound, and charged me $100. This vet cleaned up my dog's open wound, gave him medicine, shaved the area and stitched it nicely, and even trimmed my dog's nails and cleaned his ears all for a very affordable price! This vet is a steal, my favourite vet.

The most affordable vet we found. Took our cat in for a procedure. When he came home the problem was still present had to go back, no extra charge for another round of the same procedure only a day rate of about $35. Price was close to what was quoted. Staff are friendly with the animals. Will be returning when needed.
