Puppy & Kitten Care

Starting your new family member off on the right paw

Be sure to schedule an initial examination with one of our veterinarians within the first few days of your new pet joining the family.

Their first visit with us will be a great time to discuss nutrition, vaccinations, deworming and other preventative treatments. If available, please ensure to bring past vaccination and health records as well as any other information that may have come with your new pet from either a rescue or a reputable breeder.

Did You Know?

Puppies and Kittens receive natural immunity from their mothers milk when they are born, something called colostrum.
This protection, however, only lasts for a few weeks!

A series of vaccinations are recommended, starting from the time youngsters are between 6-8 weeks old.

Every puppy and kitten is unique, and we prefer to tailor our vaccination protocol to the individual, based on lifestyle and breed.  Please feel free to give us a call to schedule a consultation with one of our veterinarians or technicians to give your new furry family member a jump start to a long and healthy life.
